| CEEMEA Sovereign Bond of the Year | Global Capital | 15 December 2023 | Hungary took a risk in issuing the first CEEMEA bond of 2023 on January 4 without knowing how the year would unfold. However, given the challenges faced by emerging market issuers in 2022 and having received orders totaling $6 billion, Hungary decided to offer a record-breaking $4.25 billion in new bonds. This marked its largest-ever dollar bond issuance and its largest-ever intra-day offering. Remarkably, Hungary only incurred a new issue premium of 10bp-25bp on each tranche, a significantly narrower concession compared to the 40bp-50bp paid by other issuers in previous months. By acting swiftly and front-loading its borrowing, Hungary managed to pay less than other borrowers who waited as 10-year US Treasury yields increased. |

| Largest Sovereign Green Bond 2023 Award | Green Finance Awards | 6 June 2023 | On June 6, 2023, the Green Finance Awards were presented in Astana, at which Hungary. became the winner of the "Largest Sovereign Green Bond 2023" category. Established by the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) in 2019 to recognize and encourage achievements in the development of green and sustainable finance in Central Asia, the Caucasus, the EAEU countries, Western China, Mongolia, and Eastern Europe. On Earth Day, April 21, 2021, ÁKK Zrt. issued a new, fixed-interest, 30-year institutional HUF government bond, called the Green Hungarian Government Bond. The issue supported the development of the domestic capital market with a product financing sustainability goals, further strengthen investor diversification, and extend the term of the debt. The decision-makers considered that this green bond issue deserved the title "Largest Sovereign Green Bond 2023". The issuance was preceded by thorough preparatory work, which also required the competent professional knowledge of ÁKK Zrt.'s employees, so the "Green Finance Awards "Largest Sovereign Green Bond 2023" award is also a great recognition of ÁKK's teamwork. |
| Most Impressive Issuer in CEE | GlobalCapital | 1 July 2022 | In 2022, according to market participants, Hungary finished 1st in the "Most Impressive CEE Issuer" category, after being 3rd in 2021. Issuers, investment banks, investors, and other market participants could vote for nominees for their international bond market performance during the period between April 2021 and March 2022. Within this period, Hungary issued 3 series of foreign currency bonds denominated in dollars and euros in September 2021, issued the first sovereign green Panda bond in the China Interbank Bond Market in the last month of 2021, and at the end of February 2022 successfully completed its largest Samurai bond transaction in four different maturities., out of which the three longer-term tranches were green bonds. |
| The Banker's Deals of the Year Awards 2022 | The Banker Magazine | 20 June 2022 | Hungary won the Deal of The Year Award 2022 in the Bonds: Sovereign, supranational and agency category, being the first sovereign to issue bonds in several currencies at the same time in 2021. In 2022, the long-established financial magazine The Banker, founded 96 years ago, ranked the previous year's credit and capital market transactions, of which Hungary became the best in its category with its 3-tranche transaction denominated in USD and EUR in September 2021. The coupons of the 10-year USD bond and the 7-year EUR bond are the lowest ever achieved by the Hungarian state in its issuances in these currencies. |

| Sovereign Green Market Pioneer Award | Climate Bonds Initiative | 21 April 2021 | The Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI) awarded Hungary the Sovereign Green Market Pioneer Award in 2021, recognizing Hungary's issuance of a EUR 1.5 billion sovereign green bond in June 2020, which demonstrates its commitment to environmental protection and sustainable solutions. In previous years Belgium, France and Poland were also among the winners of the Climate Bonds Awards. The award was announced on 21 April 2021 on the 6th Climate Bonds Awards virtual award ceremony. |
| Capital Eye Special Award | Capital Eye | 1 April 2021 | Japan’s capital markets monitoring media, Capital Eye, awarded the best bonds issued in Japan in 2020 based on a survey conducted with market participants. As part of this, the Hungarian sovereign was recognized by the Special Award for its successful Green Samurai bond series issued in 2020. The issuance of Hungarian green bonds in Japan had a very good response, and Capital Eye highlighted that the Government Debt Management Agency also provided documents (GBF and SPO) on its website in Japanese. By issuing green bond series, the issuer was able not only to extend the yield curve of its Samurai bonds, but also to broaden its investor base. |

Based on ESG related financial transactions of 2020, the Research Institute for Environmental Finance (RIEF) awarded Hungary the Sustainable Finance Award in the sovereign category. RIEF evaluated that the Samurai bonds issued in September 2020 by the Hungarian state contributed to the internationalization of the Tokyo market and Hungary was the first sovereign to issue green bonds in Japan. |
